Eric Prydz Presents HOLO ïbiza’s Debut Was One For The History Books

One of the most in-demand spectacles in electronic music touched down in Ibiza on Monday night for the first in a special 10-week residency of the reimagined HOLO ïbiza
After UK favourite Cristoph got the Theatre crowd moving, a wave of anticipation engulfed the crowd before the opening salvo of Eric Prydz reverberated through our futuristic amphitheatre. What followed was an exhilarating 2-hour journey through epic holographic visuals and blistering soundscapes from one of the most imaginative minds in electronic music. Throughout the entirety of Eric Prydz’s performance, our jaws were rarely off the floor as we were transfixed by the sheer majesty of the images bursting out of the HOLO ïbiza screen.
Following such an audio-visual tour de force is no easy task but our weekly resident, Adam Beyer was more than up to the task. One of the most important figures in the global techno scene, an iconic DJ/producer and the creative juggernaut behind the revered label Drumcode.
Beyer has more time spent behind the decks than most and he masterfully demonstrated his skill and experience. The Monday night crowd were glued to the dancefloor until closing as Beyer delivered a thunderous techno soundtrack.
Over in the Club Room the night was set up skillfully by rising Scottish star Hannah Laing before house Don, Eli Brown took the room into the stratosphere with a pumping set that set the tone of the night ahead.
Finally, our Club Room resident, UK tastemaker, Patrick Topping took the reins of his new Monday night home. Topping has been at the top of his game recently, winning Best DJ at DJ Mag’s Best of British Awards and releasing a tonne of well-received new productions.
2023 will see him host his first residency at Hï Ibiza and he started as he meant to go on with an expansive set that took in the length and breadth of his musical tastes. He had the crowd in the palm of his hands throughout skillfully shifting BMPs to dramatic effect, creating a succession of unforgettable dancefloor moments.
Eric Prydz Presents HOLO ïbiza’s Opening Party laid down the gauntlet for the most spectacular Monday night on the island. The technological beauty of HOLO ïbiza, paired with the underground energy of the Club Room, proved that there’s only one place to be on Monday night.
