Get to know FISHER

Our Wednesday night resident FISHER is one of the biggest personalities in electronic music. Instantly recognisable by his signature bucket hat and sunglasses, the Australian DJ and producer brings an infectious and unrestrained energy to every performance. Let's take a look back at the rise and rise of this incredible talent.

Going Pro

Growing up on Australia's Gold Coast, Paul Fisher was a pro surfer by age 16. While touring the globe to compete in the World Qualifying Series, he would begin DJing at surf parties. As he eventually spent more time on the decks than on the waves, he took the leap into music full-time.

Ya Kidding

FISHER’s first release was debuted by Claude VonStroke and Justin Martin in their B2B performance at the 2017 Miami Winter Music Conference. Quickly becoming the most talked-about track of the conference, VonStroke would soon release “Ya Kidding” on his influential Dirtybird Records.

Losing It

The track that changed everything for FISHER. When he debuted it in the DoLaB tent on week 1 of Coachella 2018, a video of the crowd reaction gained over a million views and he was immediately invited back for week 2. The track earned a Grammy Award nomination and holds the record for the longest time at #1 on the Beatport Top 100.

You Little Beauty

The 2019 follow up to “Losing It” features a sample of disco and house legend Loleatta Holloway's classic "Love Sensation" and marked FISHER’s second #1 on the Billboard Dance Charts.

Follow the FISH

In 2019 FISHER launched his popular video series Follow the Fish TV. Each video gives fans a candid look at the life of the superstar DJ and the many, many adventures he has while touring the world.

Under Construction: Hollywood Blvd

In his own words: “October 21st 2023, two mates did the unthinkable and shut down Hollywood Blvd”. FISHER and Chris Lake made history by throwing an epic block party on the world’s most famous street.

2024 - The Year of the Remixes

After reintroducing Bob Sinclar’s iconic “World, Hold On” to a new generation of clubbers in 2022, FISHER has been flexing his remix muscles again in 2024. The four epic remixes span multiple genres and decades, including Jennifer Lopez, Bob Marley, Gotye and Marlon Hoffstadt.

FISHER's Extended 2024 Residency

FISHER’s explosive 2024 residency runs until Wednesday 2nd October. There's still time to join him in the Theatre with guests Patrick Mason, Marco Lys, Green Velvet and HoneyLuv. Plus Vintage Culture invites Dennis Ferrer, Rafael Cerato, Joris Voorn and Meca to his Club Room residency.
